SAGADA, Mountain Province — The Department of the Interior and Local Government, and the Local Government Unit of Sagada is eyeing for the expansion and improvement of Tangeb grounds for significant increase in tourist arrivals in one of the prime tourist destinations in the Cordillera over the past several years.
“Sagada continues to get a share of the foreign and domestic tourists wanting to tour the beautiful tourist destinations around the country that is why the local tourism industry remains vibrant to date. We have experienced huge influx of visitors so we need to improve it so we can utilize this as well as parking spaces, demonstration ground, and camping site,” Mayor James Pooten said in an interview.
He said with the timely downloading of funds from DILG, way back in 2018, the dreams of the residents of having easier access to the Tangeb grounds came into reality.
