The DILG Ifugao headed by PD Regina Elizabeth L. Mammag, and Program Manager Kenneth C. Tindungan in coordination with the Provincial Government of Ifugao conducted the Provincial Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (PTF-ELCAC) Convergence Meeting on September 17, 2020 at the SP hall, Capitol Building, Lagawe, Ifugao.

This served as an avenue for all stakeholders to talk about the continued implementation of the program amid the COVID 19 pandemic. Through this convergence, the different agencies were re-oriented on the provisions of Executive Order No. 70.

 

he activity was attended by the members of the PTF-ELCAC, the Municipal Mayors, and the Municipal Local Government Operations Officers (MLGOO) of the target municipalities, Tinoc and Asipulo, as well as the Punong Barangays of the Ten (10) target Barangays. Throughout the activity, the body identified some ways forward such as the need to reorganize the Provincial Task Force because of the newly assigned heads of office from the different agencies and the inclusion of DENR, DOH, Vice Governor, and One (1) member from the Sangguniang Panlalawigan; the . The Two (2) recipient LGUs (Asipulo and Tinoc) were also able to set a date for the conduct of their Municipal Convergence. Also, the task force determined the need to appoint a permanent PTF secretariat and a conduct of a year-end activity to evaluate the accomplishments throughout the year of 2020. The activity ended with the recommendations from the different agencies such as regular cluster meetings to thresh out issues and concerns that can be addressed at the cluster level and a closer review of the Barangay Development Plans (BDPs) to give more consideration to Economic Sector Development. #Clifford Pataueg & YudinisMT
