DILG HR EXCELLENCE

BAGUIO CITY-- The Civil Service Commission (CSC) conferred the PRIME-HRM Bronze Award to the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Cordillera for elevating the standard of human resource management (HRM), an official said today.

“We would like to thank CSC for recognizing the DILG through its PRIME-HRM program. We are now a Bronze Awardee working for efficient and effective public service delivery,” said DILG OIC-Regional Director Araceli San Jose.

In an official statement by the CSC here, DILG Cordillera was recognized for being compliant with Level 2 Maturity Indicators of the four (4) core HRM Systems in the areas of Recruitment, Selection and Placement; Learning and Development; Rewards and Recognition; and Performance Management.

PRIME-HRM stands for Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management which aims to develop and empower agencies in the government, both national and local.

OIC-RD San Jose explained that under the PRIME-HRM, the CSC assesses a government agency’s systems, practices, and competencies of its Human Resource Management Office based on four core HRM systems, namely, recruitment, selection and placement; performance management; learning and development; and rewards and recognition.

She also said that DILG Cordillera was also found to have observed the Civil Service law and rules on the issuance of appointments and other HR programs and has maintained its HR records and management.

“As part of the assessment, the agency is classified according to four maturity levels: Level 1 or Transactional HRM, Level 2 or Process-Defined HRM, Level 3 or Integrated HRM, and Level 4, Strategic HRM,” she said. (RIO/DILG CAR)
