CSC accords DILG CAR with PRIME-HRM Bronze Award

BAGUIO CITY— The Civil Service Commission (CSC) recognized the Department of the Interior and Local Government for receiving the PRIME-HRM Bronze Award for human resource systems, practices, and competencies in relation to the CSC's Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management (PRIME-HRM).

The PRIME-HRM aims to develop and empower agencies in the government, both national and local.

“You can be confident that our department will continue to advance as a result of our collaborative efforts. I commend DILG Cordillera for their dedication and perseverance in achieving this success, especially in these trying times,” said Marlo Iringan, Undersecretary for Local Government, at today's conferment ceremony facilitated by CSC-CAR  Regional Director Marilyn Taldo.

Meanwhile, DILG Cordillera OIC Regional Director Araceli San Jose said that DILG Cordillera was also found to have observed the Civil Service law and rules on the issuance of appointments and other HR programs and has maintained its HR records and management.

“CSC assessed the maturity level of the Department's competencies, systems, and practices in four (4) HR core systems as a banner program: (1) recruitment, selection, and placement; (2) learning and development; (3) performance management; and (4) rewards and recognition,” said OIC-Regional Director San Jose.

She also explained that pursuant to CSC Resolution No. 2100151 dated February 16, 2021, the agency will be enjoying the following incentives: authority to take final actions on appointments, the agency shall not fill up vacancies resulting from promotion until the promotional appointments have been approved/validated by the CSC, except meritorious cases, as may be authorized by the Commission, 20% discount rate for the HRMO head or one agency representative for Civil Service Institute and CSC Regional office’s trainings/conferences and other incentives specified in the resolution.

Further, OIC-RD San Jose assured that the agency will continue to provide excellent public service while adhering to the government's community quarantine protocols in order to combat COVID-19.
